Michael Morpurgo makes short work of some classic stories

This week, Oxford University Press (OUP) have published a new collection of 35 classic books, all in new, shorter and simpler form, designed to get children hooked on the stories before they are old enough to read the original books.

 

The complete “Greatest Stories” collection, which Michael Morpurgo hopes will make its way into schools around the country, has been released following research by the OUP into children’s reading habits, particularly in schools.
