Michael Morpurgo wishes the 2015 London cast a warm welcome

 

Michael Morpurgo met with the London cast of War Horse 2015 this month at rehearsals to wish them a very warm welcome.

The National Theatre’s epic production of War Horse is based on the celebrated novel by the Children’s Laureate (2003-05) Michael Morpurgo. Actors, working with magnificent, life-sized puppets by the internationally renowned Handspring Puppet Company, lead us on a gripping journey through history.

The production is also playing in Holland and South Africa, has a production in Berlin and a future production is scheduled for Australia. The South African production has been nominated for three prestigious Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards for Best Lighting (Paule Constable), Best Costume Design (Rae Smith) and Best Puppetry Design (Handspring Puppet Company).
